Why War? has consistently been one of the most innovative anti-war organizations on the Internet today. Since October of 2001, we have consistently archived, produced, and publicized some of the most important news and analysis that has benefited the mo vement toward global peace and justice. In fact, we've been building with the movement since the beginning. Our members have been interviewed by the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tr ibune, the San Francisco Chronicle and the Philadelphia Inquirer and linked to from the Guardian and the Nation. Most recently, we spearheaded a successful civil disobedience campaign against the Diebold Corporation.
Why War? is a nonprofit organization run by a staff of unpaid volunteers and we intend to be a long-term organization. Although we have chosen not to pursue tax-deductible status with the IRS, all donations to Why War? will be used exclusively f or the organization.
Our main website (why-war.com) reaches 50,000 unique visitors a month. We also provide services to a select list of clients who are engaged in resisting power.
